Increasing the Profile of Schools to Capture Corporate Funding
In my previous blog on corporate giving criteria we talked about a charitable organization’s profile as a requirement for corporate giving. Based on this, schools have a real challenge when looked at individually.
If we think of schools as a whole, they have a tremendous profile. There may not be a better cause that affects more people anywhere. Almost every household in Canada is impacted by what happens in schools. This could get us top marks….
…if only schools were a single organization. It isn’t hard to give to a single school, but if you want to sponsor a program for all grade 5 students across Canada, you’ve got daunting logistics to deal with. If you want to give to schools with extra-curricular sports programs, you first have to identiofy those, before tackling the issue of giving to them.
This is where Scholmark’s Fund-Sharing network comes into play. By creating a single platform which can give to all schools – or any subset of schools, based on their needs and curriculum - we can award schools the high position of prominence they deserve. And the attention of Corporate Canada.
